I love the sort...Goodness, how did I miss this one? I love the sort of book that takes you right back to the time it was written. When, for example, Suetonius says in The 12 Caesars, “My father was with Emperor Otho and he said...” and ”When I was a child, I saw...” I feel transported to that time and place. <br /><br /> And it sounds like this book was a bestseller in its time! <br /><br />I hadn’t thought of Caxton as a translator, only a printer.
