I, too, use ...Thank you so much for this post, Sue. I, too, use folk songs when I'm writing historical fiction - nothing else puts you in touch with the people like they can. It is the music of ordinary folk and the lyrics and words are often so powerful, haunting, beautiful by turns that you can feel the lives of those who listened to, played and sang the songs.So glad, also, that your earlier Sterkarm books are available again. I loved the first two and am off to buy the latest. And thanks for the playlist - its my kind of music!
